RheumaXP Global Edition is an approximately 18-hour, on-demand, case-based course designed for radiologists, rheumatologists, and MSK trainees seeking a structured approach to rheumatology imaging.
Led by Dr. Sergio Lopes Viana, the program develops a practical, report-oriented framework for recognizing and interpreting the key imaging patterns of inflammatory arthritis, spondyloarthritis, crystal disease, infection, pediatric rheumatologic disorders, and spinal involvement.

Meet the professor
Dr. Sergio Lopes Viana
Dr. Sergio Lopes Viana is a musculoskeletal radiologist based in Brasília with over 20 years of experience, with a focus on rheumatology imaging and pediatric MSK radiology. He is a member of the International Skeletal Society and regularly lectures at national and international meetings. He is the author of leading reference books and chapters in Brazil and abroad and has published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Viana is also involved in training residents and fellows at a high-complexity (tertiary/quaternary) hospital and participates in a pediatric bone tumor multidisciplinary group. Since 2019, he has produced online continuing medical education courses through the Advanced MSK platform. He is also an Adjunct Researcher at the Dasa Education and Research Institute.

Prof. Hermann is an Associate Professor of Musculoskeletal Radiology at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. An internationally renowned researcher and a global authority in rheumatology imaging, his expertise focuses on arthritis and spondyloarthritis, encompassing both the axial skeleton and peripheral joints. As the founder of the BerlinCaseViewer project, he is a pioneer in integrating innovative technology into medical education. An active member of ASAS, ESSR, DGMSR, and DRG, he has been honored with the prestigious Conrad Wilhelm Roentgen (2011), Felix Wachsmann (2014), and DVMB (2015) research awards.
